TOTAL-BODY WORKOUTS WITH SUSPENSION STRAPS AT THE LOCAL PARK PLAYGROUND

Using suspension straps (like TRX or similar equipment) at a public park jungle gym is an excellent way to incorporate bodyweight exercises for
a full-body workout.

Here are some workout moves you can perform:

Suspension Strap Rows:

Stand facing the anchor point, hold the straps, lean back with your body at an angle, and engage your back muscles to pull your chest up to the handles.

Suspension Strap Push-Ups:

Set the straps to hang at waist height, place your hands in the handles, and perform push-ups by leaning forward at an angle. Adjust the angle to increase or decrease the difficulty.

Suspension Strap Squats:

Face the anchor point, hold the straps with your arms extended, and squat down while keeping your arms extended. The straps provide balance and stability.

Suspension Strap Lunges:

Hold the straps with your arms extended, step one leg back, and perform lunges. The straps assist in maintaining balance and form.

Suspension Strap Planks:

With your feet in the straps and your hands on the ground, assume a plank position. This exercise adds an extra challenge to your core and stability.

Suspension Strap Pike:

Begin in a plank position with your feet in the straps. Engage your core and lift your hips upward to create a pike position. Lower your hips back to the starting plank position.

Suspension Strap Bicep Curls:

Stand facing the anchor point, grip the handles, and perform bicep curls by flexing your elbows. Adjust your body angle to increase or decrease resistance.

Suspension Strap Tricep Extensions:

Face away from the anchor point, hold the straps, and perform tricep extensions by extending your arms behind you.

Suspension Strap Leg Raises:

Lie on your back, hold the straps, and lift your legs while keeping your upper body on the ground. This works your core and lower abdominal  muscles.

“Utilizing the local park’s jungle gym for tricep dips is a fantastic way to combine fitness and outdoor enjoyment. With the sturdy bars and ample space, you can easily target and strengthen your triceps. As you lower and raise your body, the serene surroundings provide a refreshing backdrop, making the workout not only effective but also an invigorating experience.”

Suspension Strap Hip Abductions:

Suspension Strap Hamstring Curls:

Lie on your back with your feet in the straps, and raise your hips off the ground. Bend your knees, pulling the straps towards your glutes, and then
extend your legs back out.

Suspension Strap Oblique Twists:

Set the straps at chest height, hold the handles, and twist your body, engaging your oblique muscles as you rotate from side to side.

Suspension Strap Overhead Squats:

Face the anchor point, extend your arms overhead while holding the straps, and perform squats while keeping your arms extended.

Suspension Strap Leg Press:

Sit or lie on the ground with your feet in the straps and perform leg presses by extending your legs outward.

Suspension Strap Lateral Raises:

Face the anchor point, grip the handles, and perform lateral raises by lifting your arms out to the sides, working your shoulder muscles.

Suspension Strap Calf Raises:

Stand facing the anchor point, hold the straps for balance, and perform calf raises by rising onto your toes.

Suspension Strap Reverse Lunges:

Stand facing the anchor point, step back into a lunge, and use the straps for balance and assistance.

These exercises offer a wide range of options to target various muscle groups and create a diverse and effective full-body workout using suspension straps at a public park jungle gym. Remember to adjust the strap length and difficulty to match your fitness level and exercise goals.
