Changing Our Stories

Last month your assignment was to explore the stories you tell in the areas of health, happiness, work, family and relationships. We focused on these five areas because we sometimes have the most creative and revealing stories in these areas of our lives. As you reflect on the stories you wrote begin to deconstruct them by identifying the hero or heroine, the victims, the circumstances, who has power and who doesn’t, and the general feeling you have about the story. Did you like you stories or did you find that some parts of your stories need changing? Click here for the full article.

Telling Our Stories

Last month we began our journey of “Living Inside Out”. Did you start your journal? What did you notice about your passions and your dreams? This month, we are going to focus on the stories we tell ourselves and others. Stories are incredibly powerful. They have been a major way of communicating since time began. Cultures have stories. Families have stories. Even corporations have stories. However, the focus of your work this month will be on your story. Click here for the full article.

They Don’t Come Alone

Recently I was invited to be a return guest on a local TBN Network program called “Joy in Our Town” hosted by Oralena Valero, to comment on the importance of proteins and carbohydrates. I am so grateful to Oralena for the opportunity that she gave me to contribute to the subject of health and wellness on her local program. It is my greatest desire to deliver information that will make all the difference in your personal pursuit of reclaiming your health and preventing disease in a simple and concise way. Programs like “Joy in Our Town” challenge me in the most terrific way to do just that. I am still working on it. Have you ever heard someone say, “He/she writes like they talk?” Hmm. I’ll keep working on it. Click here for the full article.

Turn Play into Teaching

After being around kids in all sorts of environments for years, I’ve decided that children learn the most when they think they are playing. Some walk into a classroom and immediately switch their brain to the “off” position. When having fun, they aren’t aware school is in session, and hands-on education takes place. I’ve watched them gain skills in reading, math, science, art, music and social studies without noticing anything but the good times. Click here for the full article.

Jodie Wilson Twitter Client Pooped on Me!

One fine day I was enjoying myself, surfing the net, sending tweets (twitter messages) and building my friends and followers lists. As a result, I began to receive e-mails from some of the other twitter users. The emails had interesting and provocative topics about increasing search engine optimization (SEO) and building your business on the web. Because, I own a website and do most of my research from my computer, I started reading some of the advertisements that were sent to me. The problem was the emails were outside of the safe confines of Twitter, and they were from sources I was not familiar with. ( I should have heeded the warning I give to my grandchildren, “Stranger / Danger!”) I went to read more about a product and it attached keyword launch advertisements to my computer. Suddenly, PLOP right on my computer, I had contracted not the swine flu but a spyware/adware virus. Click here for the full article.

What Kind of Chiropractor are You

My patients are generally divided into two categories. The first is the patient who has been previously treated by a chiropractor, the second is the patient that is consulting a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) for the first time. A common question from both is “What kind of chiropractor are you?”. Click here for the full article.

A Healthy Democracy

President Barack Obama has called for input from citizens on a variety of issues facing our country. I encourage each of you to continue to communicate with the President and your elected officials about issues that concern you. Your responsibility as a citizen does not end with casting your vote. Achieving a Healthy Weight

Gain, Don’t Be A Loser. Your self talk and mental attitude about your quest for achieving your goal should be stated as a positive, not a negative. Think about gaining your healthy weight, greater energy and increased self esteem. A loss, even of unwanted pounds and inches is counter to a positive outlook. Click here for the full article.
