Goals are the Footprints of our Dreams!
Beauty in Truth Life Coaching

The question is, why is dreaming the footprint of our goals? As children we cultivate our mind with an imaginary world filled with all that makes us happy and wonder; however, as adults, we forget how to empower those dreams again. We get so pinned down by daily responsibilities that we forget how to dream again. For example, I know when I let myself daydream, I am allowing my inner child to come out and play, allowing my passion for life to be reignited. In the adult world we are constantly told to set goals and be structured; don’t get me wrong I’m a firm believer in setting goals and having structure. The only thing that’s really missing from that equation is dreaming and igniting that passion within you; the same feeling you had when you let your imagination grow as a child. It’s about going into that space of complete freedom and generating excitement.

Nassim SanaWhen that feeling of excitement builds within you, then that’s when you become unstoppable and you become more committed to seeing your goals come through step by step.  At this point you may be thinking, I can’t remember the last time I allowed myself to daydream or even get excited about my life goals. The thing is you’re not alone; many of us forget how to play with our imaginations and we begin to live a sterile life without that joy and excitement. My purpose for this month is to give you simple tools on how you can play with your imagination and get excited about goal setting so that you can attain what you want.

Before I share my tips with you, the first thing I’m going to ask you is to let go of your judgment and allow yourself to play. The majority of our day is so filled with responsibilities and having to be serious and accountable that we have forgotten to let go and dream a little.

Let your imagination play

  1. The best time to let your imagination play is when you’re in the shower. My suggestion is to play your favorite music and think of the things that made you happy as a child, then think of the things that make you happy as an adult. The purpose of this exercise is for you to generate that feeling of excitement. The more our mind feels relaxed, the better ideas we can generate. It is important to generate positive thoughts and feelings for yourself; through that familiar energy you can become inspired and have more insight as to how you can achieve your goals. One thing to keep in mind is that you have to keep practicing the first step in order for you mind to feel relaxed and happy enough so that you can go to the next level, which is having more insight and inspiration as to how to reach your goal.

Insight and Imspriation

  1. Once you have that insight and inspiration, then you can begin the process of goal-setting and structure every step. The key ingredient is that you keep that positive inspiring feeling alive. Your passion for achieving that goal will help you stay the course and be more committed to making it happen. The positive feelings you keep alive for that goal will help you have more focus, be more excited to measure your progress, keep distractions away, give you amazing motivation and help you procrastinate less. Remember to let your inner child always be at play. We have been given the ability to dream for a reason; goal-setting can be more enjoyable than you thought.  Goals are what take us forward in life; they are the oxygen to our dreams. They are the first steps to every journey we take and also are our last. It’s very important that you realize the significance and importance of goal-setting and apply this knowledge in your life.
